چکیده
In the field of maritime surveillance, global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based passive radar has proven its potential for moving target detection (MTD), localization, and velocity estimation. The next stage is to investigate possibility obtaining image ship recognition. However, limited signal power budget GNSS prevents conventional inverse synthetic aperture technique that based on rotational motion short observation time GNSS-based imaging target. this article, a two-stage processing method relying translational over long proposed. first confirms presence by long-time MTD technique. second stage, analysis Doppler history in slow-time domain, short-time Fourier transform modified random sample consensus are combined robustly estimate with reduced computation complexity. To obtain focused bistatic image, azimuth compression conducted using estimated velocity. Finally, an fusion operation implemented combine images achievable from multiple satellites so multistatic high quality can be created. effectiveness proposed confirmed real experimental results three cargo ships illuminated several satellites.

The existence of non-radar radio frequency (RF) signals in the environment possessing radar-like characteristics make them ideal candidates for use in radar applications such as synthetic aperture radar (SAR). The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) specific Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) waveform is one such example. Research at the Air Force Institute of...
متن کاملTarget Tracking for Multistatic Radar with Transmitter Uncertainty∗
We present a target tracking system for a specific sort of passive radar, that using a Digital Audio/Video Broadcast (DAB/DVB) network for illuminators of opportunity. The system can measure bi-static range and range-rate. Angular information is assumed here unavailable. The DAB/DVB network operates in a single frequency mode; this means the same data stream is broadcast from multiple senders i...
متن کاملPassive Polarimetric Multistatic Radar Detection of Moving Targets
We study the exploitation of polarimetric diversity in passive multistatic radar for detecting moving targets. We first derive a data model that takes into account polarization and anisotropy of targets inherent in multistatic configurations. Unlike conventional isotropic models in which targets are modeled as a collection of uniform spheres, we model targets as a collection of dipole antennas ...
متن کاملMultifrequency and Multistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar, with Application to FM Passive Radar
This paper deals with the imaging of a moving target using a multifrequency and multistatic radar consisting in one receiver and several narrowband transmitters. Considering two hypotheses about the studied target, we derive two multistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar processors: the first one, which models the target as a set of isotropic points, performs a coherent sum of bistatic images...
